The fixtures and groupings for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 have been announced by the ICC, which will commence on February 19, 2025, in Karachi and conclude with the final being played on March 9, 2025. The tournament features eight teams and 15 matches and is set to take place across Pakistan and Dubai.
The matches in Pakistan will be held across three venues: Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, with each hosting three group games. Unless India qualifies, the second semi-final will be held in Lahore and the final on March 9. If India is in the final, it will take place in Dubai. There will be reserve days for both semi-finals and the final.
India’s three group matches and the first semi-final are scheduled to be played in Dubai.
The tournament opens with Pakistan vs New Zealand in Group A at Karachi on February 19 and the following day features India against Bangladesh on Dubai’s grounds. The Group B action commences on February 21 with Afghanistan facing South Africa in Karachi.
A much-awaited weekend then follows that starts with England vs Australia in Lahore on February 22, followed by the most anticipated clash of all – the face-off between Pakistan and India on the following day.
The Champions Trophy features the top eight teams from the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 points table. Group A includes hosts and reigning Champions Trophy winners Pakistan, alongside India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh. Group B comprises Cricket World Cup 2023 champions Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan, all vying for the prestigious white winners’ jackets.
